FedHATTA promotes Greek tourism in the Indian market
As part of the strategic attraction of new tourist markets, FedHATTA, and its members – Associations of TouristmAgencies, participated in the OTM exhibition in Mumbai, India (January 23-25).
At the exhibition, FedHATTA was represented by its President Lysandros Tsilidis, who held a series of meetings with promotion companies and publishing organizations for the promotion of our country in India, supporting the participation of Greek tourism agencies in the exhibition.
The tourism agencies that are members of HATTA framed the stand again this year, which was visited by professionals of the Indian tourism market, who showed great interest.
FedHATTA has steadily built up the relationship with India, through meetings, the organization of familiarization trips for Indian tourism agents in Greece and also the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with the Association of Tourist Offices of India.
The Indian outbound tourism market is growing rapidly and is particularly important for our country, as approximately 25 million Indian tourists travel abroad each year, carefully choosing travel programs, new destinations for tours and activities, and new proposals for combined holidays. Arrivals in our country from India have increased in recent years, and the promotion efforts of HATTA and FedHATTA have contributed significantly to this, with systematic initiatives over the last five years.
Greece participated in the OTM exhibition in Mumbai (January 23-25, 2019), and the GNTO stand was visited by thousands of Indian tour operators, as well as the Minister of Tourism and Culture of India, Alphons Kannanthanam. The Greek team was headed by the General Secretary of GNTO, Konstantinos Tsegas, who held numerous meetings.
