The president of FedHATTA, Lysandros Tsilidis, had a working meeting with the executives of the Association of Travel Agencies of Iran on Wednesday afternoon at the Federation’s offices in Athens. The occasion was the visit of the Iranian professionals to Athens for the participation in the first international tourism exhibition MITE 2017.

During the meeting, in the presence of members of FedHATTA and the Iranian Associations, there was an exchange of views regarding the relations of the two countries in the tourism sector, while prospects for the development of partnerships were also discussed, in order to stimulate the tourism flows of Iranians to Greece and also to develop Iran as a tourism destination for Greek travelers in the coming years.

The travel agents visiting from Iran will participate in the business meetings that will take place in the framework of the MITE exhibition (October 19-22, 2017).

Furthermore, the Iranian travel agents, in order to familiarize themselves with the tourism product of Greece and Crete, will participate in a familiarization trip to Rethymnon, which will take place within the framework of the DODEKA initiative of FedHATTA, with the support of the Association of Tourist & Travel Agencies of Rethymno, the Tourism Committee of the Municipality of Rethymno, the Association of Hoteliers of the Prefecture of Rethymno and Blue Star Ferries.

The president of FedHATTA, Lysandros Tsilidis, the president of the Tehran Tour and Travel Agencies’ Association, Reza Abazari and the general secretary of the Association of Air Transport and Travel Agencies of Iran (Association of Air Transport & Tourist Agencies of Iran – AATTA), Morteza Ghorbani.
